A committee of MPs is seeking evidence about the Access to Work (AtW) scheme, as part of its investigations into the government’s efforts to support deaf and disabled people into work - click here to see Parliament's webpage for more information.
The BDA plans to submit its own evidence by 20 June.
We welcome examples of AtW support hours being cut, or a reduction in hourly rates imposed that has had an impact on the deaf individual's ability to stay in employment.
If you have had difficulty in securing work because of AtW, either through the interview process or accepting a job role then please do let us know.
We are also looking for case studies of where deaf people have lost, or have had to change their jobs under the recent AtW changes.
All names submitted will remain anonymous and confidential.
Please submit your stories by Monday 16 June 2014 to the BDA - bda@bda.org.uk
