Update - 2nd April 2013

Hi, its great that so many people are contacting their MPs and getting results.

Another new supporter is Jim Cunningham, MP for Coventry South. He has just asked some useful Parliamentary questions about BSL, see here for his questions and the reply from Esther McVey MP, Minsiter for Disabled People.

Mr Cunningham asked the questions after he came to our recent BSL meeting at the House of Commons. He has reported on the meeting
here and says,

"There is a long way to go before Deaf people are treated equally in our society. I will continue to campaign to reduce the challenges that BSL users face."

The BDA will continue to work with key MPs and Peers to raise more parliamentary questions so please contact the BDA if you wish to support the BDA campaign work, for example, how to meet your local MP, set up a local campaign group to lobby your local authority to consider BDA's BSL Charter.
